Dermatological applications

Many clinical dermatology applications can be managed by energy-based technologies, some examples would be psoriasis & vitiligo by UV therapy, inflammatory acne by PDL, dark circles by carboxytherapy and more. In this page we present some frequently used equipment by every clinic and hospital.

While no single technology can fix all problems, all technologies tend to excel in treating one or two conditions & slightly improve the rest… you may need to prioritize the most potential conditions for your practice from the upcoming ones.

Inflammatory Acne

Acne can be divided into two categories: inflammatory and non-inflammatory. Inflammatory acne can be distinguished by presence of blemishes that are red and swollen.

There are many different degrees of inflammatory acne severity, it can be fairly mild, with just a few red pimples here and there to a more severe forms of inflammatory acne: nodular, cystic, and nodulocystic acne.

Energy based technologies manage inflammatory acne by  physical & thermal unclogging of sebum ducts using technologies like carbon thermal peeling, or by reducing blood supply though collapsing the dilated vessels to reduce the inflammation by using pulsed dye lasers (PDL).

For Inflammatory Acne we recommend
UV Phototherapy

Vitiligo is a long-term condition where pale white patches develop on the skin caused by the lack of melanin pigment in the skin. Vitiligo can affect any area of skin, but most commonly occurs on the face, neck, hands, and skin creases.

Psoriasis is a common skin condition that speeds up the life cycle of skin cells. It causes cells to build up rapidly on the surface of the skin. The extra skin cells form scales and red patches that are itchy and sometimes painful.

Skin disorders like Vitiligo, psoriasis and similar disorders can be managed by field UV phototherapy using cabinets for large areas or targeted UV phototherapy for targeting small patches without affecting surrounding tissues. The UV therapy works by stimulating melanin formation in Vitiligo & slowing growth of affected cells in Psoriasis.

For UV Phototherapy we recommend
Dark Circles

Dark circles present under lower eyelids frequently in men and women. They are usually accompanied by swollen bags or pigmentation & can be caused by low blood circulation which can occur due to different genetic, ethnic & aging reasons.

Dark circles can be managed by carboxy therapy: a carbon dioxide gas administration which enhances circulation to compensate the oxygenation of tissues and hence improves the appearance of the area under the eyes.
