Fractional CO2 laser

The technology used in the most renowned centers in the Middle East

The well established CO2 Laser resurfacing has been the gold standard in skin resurfacing for the past couple decades as it achieved unparallel smoothness and reduction of wrinkle or scar that no other modality matched. However, this treatment has now fallen out of favor because of significant pain requiring local anesthesia and substantial down time with the complexion appearing edema and erythema for at least couple of weeks.

The fractionated CO2 laser technology delivers microscopic beams of 10,600nm CO2 laser energy across the skin’s barrier, resurfacing 10-40% of the skin’s surface area in one session.

With fractional CO2 laser resurfacing, the laser beam is fractionated into many small micro beams when they target the skin, the small areas of the skin between the beams are not lased and left intact. These untreated surrounding skin promote a much more rapid recovery and healing with less risk of complications. Each areas treated by the fractional micro beams, called micro ablative columns, causes sufficient laser injury to promote new collagen production and resultant facial skin rejuvenation. The growth of collagen results in skin that continues to improve over the next 3 to 6 months.
